Studio Rebeko is a creative communication studio based in the beautiful city of Ōtepoti/Dunedin. We combine our visual storytelling and design skills to create eye-catching illustrations, graphic design & websites tailored to the needs of your business.
We work with a diverse range of clients, from startups to secondary schools, to effectively communicate their brand, ideas and stories.
Studio Rebeko was launched in February 2021. Working together had always been our goal. In fact we came up with the name Rebeko (a rather cheesy combo of our names) when we were 17 years old, hoping that one day we would have a business of our own.
After finishing our studies Marko went on to work in the print and signage design industry, while I grew my freelance illustrator career (Rebeko Illustration) from home.
Fast forward 9 years and two kids later we found ourselves in the middle of New Zealand’s first level 4 lockdown in 2020. We realised how much we enjoyed both working together from home, and the freedom to spend more time with the kids. This experience gave us the inspiration we needed to take the leap into starting our own studio.

Illustration, character design & creative facilitation
I am a visual storyteller, I love using illustrations to communicate a feeling or message. Since graduating with my Bachelor of Communication Design in 2011 I have illustrated children’s books, designed characters for TV, painted murals, and encourage others to embrace their inner creative.
Alongside my Design and Illustration work I also run an online shop where you can find lots of my quirky and colourful illustrations available to purchase.
I’m also Mum to two wonderfully weird little humans who are a constant source of inspiration. When I'm not working or spending time with family you can find me op-shopping or starting a new craft project I probably won’t finish.
Marko Lazarević
Graphic & web design
I love all things technical, especially the nitty-gritty bits of websites and data merging. It’s a great feeling to find a solution to a complex challenge.
Before launching Studio Rebeko in 2020 I spent 9 years working in the print, signage, and design industry.
Whether it’s traditional print, websites, vehicle graphics or shop signage I will work with you to find the best solution for your business.
On the weekends I enjoy spending time with my family and getting out on my mountain bike … when it’s dry!
